Very annoying that it has become so difficult to make appointments. This will be my 19th annual extension and the appointment system was a big improvement. What happened? Anyway we're resigned to it taking the whole day. Fun, fun, fun 😄

The QR code info is very useful. I'm going to accept being part of the zombie horde and just enjoy spending the day there! We have to come up from our home in Rayong, so it will be 'holiday'. I'll let you know how we get on.

Thanks. I'll have their passports but my HR dept. have the paperwork. If we get there after 8am and get a high queue number, is it guaranteed that we will be processed that day even if it's not until the afternoon? Presumably some people don't arrive until much later in the day and still get processed on the day?

Can Thai passport holders visit friends in the UK?

Of course they can. They need to apply for a UK Visitor visa. To get one, they will need to show a reason to return to Thailand (like a job) and enough money to finance their trip. A letter of invitation from the friends will help, but is not necessary if they are genuine tourists. Thousands of Thais visit the UK for a holiday.

Thanks. My work HR has advised just getting all our extensions to 27 Oct instead of 30 Nov. Makes sense, and at least it's only a month less. My fault for not noticing his passport expiry date!
