Soft power “how you intend to support yourself and future plans”
Hello everyone, I am applying for a 6 months Muay Thai course.
I practice this sport in Europe too, therefore a soft power DTV is perfect for my goals.
I currently have 800K in bank account, so over the 500K requested.
Plus I get every month from normal part time work in my country about 1000 euros.
If the embassy asks “how you intend to support yourself”, is it okay to simply say savings? Connecting it to their second question “what’s your plan after the 6 months course” basically I would like to keep practicing Muay Thai in Thailand, but I will probably need to come back to my home country for at least 3 months to finish my job contract. I am focusing on opening a business for online income for the future, but right now a normal job is the only thing I can do.
Is it okay for the application to state savings & come back to my country? Or should I say something different in the Cover Letter like saving & apply for a new Muay Thai course?
When submitting my application under soft power in my financial cover letter i just stated that im currently completing an online english course which will help me support myself a little bit while training, as ive seen loads of people say on here they ask how you will support yourself. Will this be a problem? Can you work online while under soft power?
1. How to support myself: I will say it’s from my savings with that 500k thb bank statement. Would it be enough to explain myself?
2. My plan after the 5 yr visa: I will use soft power Muay Thai. So what would be an appropriate and successful explanation? If I say I would like to renew the DTV or apply other visa to stay in Thailand, will it give a bad impression?
My husband has been approved for DTV, I am applying for the DTV as spouse of DTV holder.
Now they asked me to provide a sponsor letter from my spouse, Does anyone know what exactly should be included in this letter? Like financial support? Or other information?
Hi, I'm planning to apply for a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) to enroll in a Thai culinary class. For the required funds, would it be acceptable if my boyfriend transfers a lump sum to my account? He's willing to provide a letter confirming that he gifted the funds to support my DTV application and culinary studies. Would this meet the requirements? Thank you
Good day, looking at the requirements of 500k baht (or sponsorship letter) - what does the sponsorship letter entail? Can I for example get a letter from my father (who lives in Thailand) and give bank statements of his showing substantially more than the required 500k baht?
Effectively saying that he will support me while I am here? Would this be acceptable? Any feedback would be appreciated
What visa do I apply for to get my thai girlfriend to Australia for a holiday. As I will be financially supporting and submitting the application myself in Australia
I’m not sure if this post will help you with dating Thai women or not, but I want to share what Thais value
I want to share how my friends, who are Thai men, ask women when they want to date Thai women.
The important question they usually ask is what university the woman graduated from. It’s a green flag if she graduated from:
1. Chulalongkorn University
2. Mahidol University
3. Thammasat University
4. Kasetsart University
5. ABAC (Assumption University)
6. Any European or Western universities
The second most important question is about her career.
The third question is about her lifestyle and whether she’s an introvert or extrovert.
I’ve found that a common question is whether Thai men need to support their girlfriends financially. First, I’m Chinese-Thai with no Western ancestry. I can say that my father has always supported my mother and his children (my brother and me), financially. However, he has never once paid anything to my grandparents (my mother’s parents). My father bought his children and his wife everything in life including cars and houses, but never bought anything to my mother’s parents. My brother treats his wife the same way.
Do I need to pay anything to my family? No, I’ve never paid anything to my family at all. I once gave my mother 200,000 THB for her birthday, but that was only one time, and only for one birthday. My family has always paid for everything in my life. Would I be a good daughter if I supported my family financially? Yes, but I don’t see the point in financially supporting my mother and father
Another common question is about the amount of dowry, and I know many of you don’t like it. In my family, we all pay at least 2 million THB to the woman’s family.
