I am retired and hoping to visit Thailand 5 1/2 months total each calendar year on three separate visits. Do I need any specific visa, and if not, should I expect any issues at entry with Immigration officers? Thank
What's the best way to stay for 3 months visa way ? Or am I better to just go full ahead and Get DTV , I'm not bothered with saving money , just want to be legal for possible eventual permanent stay if I like it, I went 3 months before but did Cambodia border run and also pay at airport also

A question about the Non-Immigrant O-A visa. It seems to be too good to be true. At least according to the Thai Consulate in Munich you need to be over 50, show a PENSION income of at least 65,000 baht monthly (currently €1700) OR 800,000 baht in a bank account HERE in Germany. Plus you need medical insurance and a certificate from the police. They say this allows multiple entries and stays of up to one year PER ENTRY.
This seems to be too good to be true. Meaning you’d just have to get this visa once and you could come and go and each time and stay up to a year. Or stay permanently and do a visa bounce once a year. There seems to be no time limit. No lining up at Immigration to get extensions and multiple re-entry permits. Do I understand this correctly?
I’m considering this visa because banks are reported to be cracking down on accounts held by foreigners who don’t have long-stay visas.
My multiple entry visa, which I had for 6 months, expires on June 24th. I'm leaving for Kuala Lumpur. Do you think that if I return to Thailand after 5 days, they will let me get a new 2 month visa on stamp?
I am currently in bkk on a 60 visa exempt entry. I am planning on flying to Malaysia and applying for multi entry visa. This is my way of navigating visa runs without any stress. I plan to leave on a Wednesday and come to bkkk back on Wednesday, is that enough to to apply for online abd receive the visa? Or do I need to stay in Malaysia longer?
Also, will this successful at navigating entry, I plan to split my time between countries and I don’t want any issues coming back and forth.
