Yesterday afternoon two immigration officers visited my residence two weeks after my consideration stamp was approved and they had already visited while I was under consideration. I was irate as I felt it was an invasion of my family’s privacy and an unwarranted visit. My son was very sick, I had to cancel work as they asked to see personally and right away. They told my wife it was a random second check and they would visit a third time if a random check arised again threatening to take my passport and cancel my visa if I had not complied. I was close to losing my temper and I nearly video recorded their visit. I feel if their is a third visit next time I will video record the incident and go to the media as now my wife feels unsafe. I would just like to know if this is common practice or if they are targeting to harass us as we are a first time Non-O at their office and they have something against us for some unknown reason. I am sure a third visit would be an illegal practice?

I’m about to start my retirement renewal process next month after the first year. I have a pension income of 65,000+ baht going into my Bangkok bank months also the required bond in the bank for last 2 months so I have the option of both methods. What I’m worried about now if I use the pension proof ? Will it be taxed at 30% because it could be deemed an income. Most of this amount was tax exempt in UK due to tax threshold

Hi everyone! Just want to confirm if this one is good to go and I don’t have anything do after? I’m in the process of applying for an education visa to study thai and my language school asked me to forward them TM30 which is this one that I completed on the immigration’s website. Thanks for your inputs! 🙏

Hi there,

for more than a year now, I do my 90 day reporting online. Always approved in 3-6 days.

Nothing has changed on my site.

My last one is pending for 10 days now and tomorrow ist the last day for the grace period.

Is it relevant that you report in time or has the approval bel in time?

Thx

Hello all, I hold a retirement visa with multiple entry. I have been successfully reporting every 90 days online. However, I left Thailand for a trip to the USA in September for 2 weeks. Did I trigger some additional reporting requirement by leaving and returning to Thailand? If so, can I comply with Immigration reporting requirements by always staying the first night after a trip in a hotel? Or possibly comply by notifying the juristic person in the condo where I rent? Many thanks.

Again about the TM30.

I understand even if staying at a friends house, a TM30 has to be done with immigration. So far, so good.

In the past I have never done a TM30 while on visa exempt staying at my girlfriends house (out of ignorance, I simply didn't know). And as a matter of fact I never ran into problems driving around in Thailand. And I travel a lot when I am in Thailand (and I understand when I stay at a hotel, the hotel will do the TM30).

It was written here that if you have not filed a TM30 and then have anything to do with the immigration office (e.g. an extension), then there will be problems (a fine, or whatever).

The question is, will the fact that I (or my girlfriend as the house owner) did not file a TM30 in the past haunt me later should I apply for a retirement or marriage visa in the future? Will or can immigration check my past compliance (or lack thereof) with regard to the TM30? Will I then run into problems applying for a retirement or marriage visa?

Thank you.

Few questions

* If my work permit is registered in Surat Thani, can I work in other provinces in Thailand?

* If my work permit expired week ago, can I still renew with some penalty, or need to make new one?

Thank you for any help.
