They post you a visa pack, you manually fill it in, send it back with your passport photos and copies or originals of your bank statement, copies of your passport, flight booking, etc post it back to them and they do all the uploading of photos/copies/forms etc to the Thai embassy, if your a computer wiz kid, Evisa would be easy, but for us older folk not so,. The only problem with Mae sot is the roller coaster ride to get there,. From Tak direction is a pretty good road, but its duelled all the way but a challenging drive for the feint hearted, don’t come from Mae sariang if your in a hurry either, I left Mae sot at 5 pm and got to Mae sariang 3-4 hours later, hard slog made even harder at night, I’ve come from Mae sariang to Mae sot in daylight and it didn’t seem to bad,.it’s way better now than it was years ago tho,.pretty scenic if it weren’t for the smoke covered mountains,on both routes,.
