TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares concerns about heavy rain predicted for May 8th in Khon Kaen, based on information from a French pizza seller. The community reacts with light-hearted comments suggesting that rain in Thailand is often brief and doesn't typically disrupt plans, while some express skepticism about weather forecasting. An update reveals that the predicted rain did not occur.
Bangkok sunny and light rain now and then. But it is not too bad for me. I’m just loving the cleaning process of the city and the smell of fresh smoggy air 🙏🏻
Who cares, it rains for like an hour at a time in Thailand then goes back to being hot, all the water evaporates in 3 hours…. Welcome to a tropical paradise
Jeremy MillerIf you had said "like an hour or two" you wouldn't have received so much vitriol. "Like an hour" certainly doesn't mean 3 hours! It means 45 min or 1h15m or somewhere in the ballpark of 1 hour. If you want say 3 hours, you might say something like "it might rain for a couple of hours", which means 2 or 3 hours.
depends on where and who you are talking to in this world…Time is a man made construct that has no bearing on anything only what is created by humans….
Can tell English is not your first language nor do you live in Thailand. You're not the first person to claim it only rains for a short time whenever rain falls, which simply isn't true. There are very wide variations and during the rainy season it can often rain 2 or 3 times in a single day.
Nonsense..sometimes it rains all day. Just 10 days ago, it rained for most of the day in Bangkok. This is perfectly normal. There's no set amount of time it rains for. Usually, it's 2-3 hours if there's a thunderstorm but can easily be shorter or longer.
