Greetings all. I am very grateful for this group and the kind help. I am about to apply for a DTV. Plan is to come to Thailand 15 January, stay for about 5 weeks. Then return home to US, organize for move, and return to Thailand in May. Does anyone see any issues with this plan? Thanks.

Hi everyone. Does anyone know where I can get cheaper travel insurance for a 120 day travel to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.

I’m from England and have had a couple medical issues in the past

I am going to Thailand for 3 months. Should I have a return ticket anyway??? I think if I like to stay more or less than 3 months. It's my responsibility to have someone give me directions.

I plan to travel to Thailand from USA in January and stay for three months. In the past I have applied for a 60 day visa, then gotten a 30 day extension after 60 days. Is that still the procedure I must follow? It included sending an application to the office in Los Angles with my passport, my financials, pictures, passport and flight and hotel reservations. I’m hoping all that has been streamlined. Please tell me what the requirements are now. I have visited Thailand for each of the past 25 years.

Hello,

This is kind of urgent so would appreciate your advice!

I am a Brit and am due to from London to Bangkok on Wednesday 14 Oct and am scheduled to fly back 16 January.

I have just gone in to check in for my Eva Air flight, but it won't let me proceed without uploading travel documents and is indicating I needing a paper travel visa to enter the country.

I was under the impression from previous research that, as a UK citizen, I could enter Thailand and apply for a visa there, which I could then apply to extend later while in the country, or leave and do a visa run.

This situation is somewhat urgent and unexpected , so I would really appreciate any advice on what to do.

If necessary, I would be happy to get an e-visa in advance but is this possible within 48 hours?

Many thanks in advance!

- UPDATE -

Thank you all so much for your helpful replies - I truly appreciate it. I was able to check in and now I will keep my fingers crossed at the airport, but your messages have been very reassuring to someone who was in a panic. Thank you again! 💙

Hi! I'm flying to Vietnam to apply for the DTV but I don't have a flight to Thailand yet because a) I don't have any guarantee that I'll get the DTV and b) if I do get it, I don't know when. So I don't want to book a flight to Thailand because I might lose money.

Does anyone have any idea what to put here?

Looks like the new automatic imagration system is up and running, when leaving.

No long lines straight through no hiccups.
