TLDR : Answer Summary
For a typical home environment where you have devices like a laptop, two 55" TVs, an iPhone, and usage revolves around watching YouTube and occasional gaming, various comments suggest that a speed of 300 Mbps is generally sufficient. This speed can handle multiple 4K streams simultaneously and caters well to internet browsing and gaming due to low ping with fiber. However, some recommend considering the 600 Mbps package for the best value, given its competitive pricing. Ultimately, personal usage needs and local service quality may influence the best choice, so checking with neighbors for their experiences could be beneficial.

I pay for 2000mbit and look, bloody scam.

2,000 megabits is 250 megabytes

right and my download speed last night was 287 mbit/s. On WiFi connection but still.

MB = Mbit / 8

Go for the 1000, you’ll never get anywhere close to the promised speeds anyway

My experience here so far (3 addresses) is that the delivered performance is never remotely up to the advertised performance.

Very area dependanr... Ask around your neighbours to see who's best. The cost is very similar, but I find 3bb suits me best with the free mobile data...

If it's just a few devices and you watch YouTube and chat, the lowest tier is enough. 20mbit is enough, but the lowest they have is 300, so get that one.

It would be for running a laptop ,2 x 55" tvs, i phone, internet browsing , watching you tube and grand kids playing kids shoot em up games,.

300 Mbits as 30 MB/s is enough for all those needs. Speed only matters if you download games/movies and need them to your computer in a certain time frame (like going to a cabin for a weekend and only 1 hour time to download disney for kids at back seat) not even for gaming as ping the lag with fiber is within 1-3 millisecond no matter the nominal speed 300 or 1000 Mbits

depends what youre using it for, if general streaming and internet use, the lower would more than suffice, if you're gaming, then you'd want to go as high as possible

Considering prices for the top tier is pretty cheap compared to other parts of the world. Personally would be a no brainer but I use bandwidth, most people really don’t and fiber is clean speed regardless of max.

To answer question asked.

Based on pricing, specs and what most people would use most of the time. The

is the ‘best value’ you would likely actually use.

Yep 300 is enough

If only you for personal use, then 300 Mbps will do.

is plenty, that's enough for 6x 4k videos at once, or 60x 1080p videos at once. Most people grossly over estimates their bandwidth needs. If you want faster go faster, but a usually person would never feel the difference between 300mbps and 2gbs.
