Also try Laksi Amphur. It's virtually across the road from CW immigration and the MFA.

They deal with a lot of foreigner marriages. I married my thai wife there all done smoothly and quickly paperwork wise.

That's why they will only provide 100% of funds needed. If you are short let's say 200k and ask them to help with balance, they will refuse. What does that tell you ??

. I know someone who needed half the 800k and approached agents. They all flatly refused unless they provided all of it. Sounds nefarious to me.. smells of white lies and brown envelopes..

Passports are the property of issuing governments, not the holder. This is why you only hand it to those with authority ,eg police, immigration. Have you contacted your embassy yet?

All you need is someone you annoyed to report you and you're screwed. You'll also lose your spouse visa when they deport you.

One of the disadvantages of a retirement visa over a spouse visa if you are eligible for both. After approval of yearly extension (spouse) you can do whatever you want with your own money until renewal is nearly due.
