. My grandfather served in WW2 in Australian Navy in the Pacific.

He spent a year repatriating POWs aboard his ship. He saw first hand the cruelty.

Never talked much about it and never had a bad word to say, but he would cross the street to avoid walking past a Japanese person until he passed away 2 years ago.

He had his own personal reasons to dislike.
