DTV Cooking - Approved in Vientiane Laos!

Timeline:

* Landed April 8 Wednesday afternoon, uploaded final docs (visa stamp in passport and visa) and submitted online

* April 9 Thursday - Went to Vientiane Laos embassy at 9am, paid 10,000 THB in person

* April 10 Friday - Nothing

* Songkran Holiday 13 Monday to 15 Wednesday

* 15 Wednesday - Got an email for interview

* 22 Wednesday 10am - Interview. Where is your cooking school? Where will you stay nearby the school (show hotel booking, can book and cancel if needed)? Open your banking app -- BE AWARE they scroll through it and click on it themselves, so no hiding anything or deceit. What will do you after your course is finished (take another course)?

* 22 Wednesday 12pm - DTV sent in my email! Printed out at my guesthouse

* 23 Thursday - Flight to Don Mueng Airport, showed them the DTV paper, I looked in my passport to make sure they stamp correctly. Took less than 30 seconds with the immigration agent (go to one with a man, they go fast and don't ask questions).

Hello all. I made a mistake in dealing with money matter during my 3 months non-immigrant O visa and can’t apply for 1 year extension. I’m planning to leave the country and reapply once more for the 3 month non-immigrant visa.

The first time I applied from Hanoi as I was living over there. What could be the best place to reapply for one ? I’ve been told it’s quite fast from a Thai consulate in Laos, do you have some more information ? Thank you

Anyone has visa agent recommended for entering Thailand from Laos through Nong Khai border?

My bf and I traveling to Laos via bus, but the officer at immigration said now he cannot come back to Thailand via bus again.

I plan to use an agent for my first non O retirement one year extension next month. I have bank account etc but not 800k in the bank.

I started already to transfer the minimum 65k per month into my thai bank account. I then plan to do my extension next year using the 65k per month option. However, does anyone know ,for sure, based on recent situations , will this be accepted by immigration,or will they say that it's not accepted as its years extension didn't have the funds in the account for the two months prior and the three months post the extension being approved. I think this is quite ambiguous and respectfully would ask that only people with genuine ,current experience give me advice. Please don't take it wrong but I see a lot of wrong information here and often contradictory information so please don't be offended.

I think it may also be possible that this issue and decision may as usual be at the discretion of the immigration officer I see at the time.

I do intend to ask immigration if this will be acceptable before I do my first extension next month but have a feeling the answer I may get could be different in a year's time do would really appreciate advice from people that have done this.
