The discussion centers around the high cost of a one-way flight priced at $4000, with commenters questioning its reasonableness. Some suggest it could be attributed to a private charter, while others argue the funds might be better spent in Thailand itself. Concerns are raised about existing quarantine rules in transit countries, which can impose lengthy restrictions for travelers. The conversation highlights the complexities of international travel, especially amidst tightening regulations.

Malaysian Air still has flights but it stops at KLIA with a 23 hour stopover. Wont allow you to stay in transit that long and they have a 14 day quarantine.

Noel.. now check the quarantine rules of the countries in transit.. some have 14 day rules even for transit passengers. Both of your examples have stops. One is a 20 hour total. Sydney is 9 hours direct. And you also need transit permission for the other countries . Cheap Airlines dont give a shit, they'll still sell you a ticket.
