point taken Mathew. However Thai hospitals and doctors are very reluctant to accept that they will be paid by your insurance company. They know there could be complications. So to receive the best of treatment you need to have the funds already. But for death and repatriation yeah I see your point.

totally agree! Had it over lockdown of course but otherwise no. Anyone who knows Thailand knows the complex system with insurance and hospital ect you have to pay first anyway and then make your claim

Easier to fly laos from bangkok and you can get a full visa again. Land border runs are restricted to limitations

I would advise first go to citizens advise center. If not good go to see a lawyer I think you have rights!

Yes it is required. Also worth noting is that if your marriage certificate is a little bit old (not sure by what time limit) you have to get some paper from your marriage building to confirm is acceptable. All in all this visa is a pain in the arse. Don't think I'll be doing that again.

You are entitled to a 30 day extension doesn't matter when you leave within that time. The price is 1900b. Why have him/she asked for extra money? Once you have filled in your forms the process takes not more than 1 hour in my experience. Don't make a scene that won't do you any favors just point out you know what is what. All done with a smile of course!
