TLDR : Answer Summary
The question concerns the implications of a flight delay that may cause a traveler's negative COVID-19 test result to exceed the 72-hour validity window for entering Thailand. A comment advises travelers to have their tests done 24 hours before departure to avoid complications.

Get your test done 24 hours before departure, then you have nothing to worry about.

No tests done on Saturday as weekend and flight is on Sunday ..sort that out than
from what I’ve heard from other posts on this subject there is little to no flexibility on this unfortunately. If the test is more than 72 hours old from whatever your departure time ends up being it won’t be accepted, sorry. Maybe go in 48 hours ahead of time? Most labs can get results in 24 hours if they know it’s urgent for a flight.
Result times depend on how busy the lab is. Now there's not a lot of people being tested (especially in the west were most are vaccinated). Should have same day results Most places.
