Hi all, asking for a friend. My Thai friend is in the UK and suffered abuse by her husband and will be getting divorced. She applied to renew her spouse/settlement visa but it was refused. She wants to stay in the UK as she has made a life and friends here. What options does she have to stay and appeal? Any help would be appreciated.

I can see some comments have been removed but it is a shame on a site like this that you have some awful comments being made, referring to people as imported etc. Just from trying to get some advice for a friend who has had a visa affected by being abused I have been made to feel unwelcome. I thought the heavily medicated Trolls were mostly on Twitter. Be kind people. Meeting someone from another country does not mean you are importing a bride or wife. I posted because the site is for Visa advice and I had some good comments for my step daughters Visa. To the Trolls, get a life or take some more medication. It may help with the racist nasty comments. To the keyboard warrior's make the same comments to my face and you will get a different reaction. Sorry admin but you have a few nutters on here distracting from people actually trying to help.
