Is Thai immigration open during Songkran despite the cancellation of festivities?
Anyone know if immigration is open this week seeing as songkran is cancelled???
Answer summary
Despite the cancellation of Songkran festivities, all government departments, including immigration, are open and considered essential services. Visitors to immigration should note that the operating procedures may vary based on individual visa types and any previous extensions. It is advisable to directly consult with immigration offices for specific information, as officers are reported to be helpful.

OPYes I've just got back from immigration and yes!! All is not as it seems! So here is what I've learned from today. a. Depends on what type of visa your on? b. Depends on what extension you have had already if any c. It's not necessary free. To these points I recommend you first visit your immigration office to find out the true definition of the rules. Don't worry the officers are very helpful and accommodating. They understand are difficulties. Good luck everyone I got a visa today in the normal fashion 1900 baht.

Thank you!
Yeah... it seems like we should go...
For a normal 30 days extension do we also need to register our address? Is it a new requirement?
