Just a anything else question. Advise and experience of outdoor security camera for your home ? Been down the wireless road and not impressed. Thinking about normal cctv. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Another option is wired IP cameras. It gives you more options and flexibility than CCTV.

I’ve set up a number of Reolink wireless cameras with solar charging. From my experience they’re excellent. You can choose if you want alerts or not. With a SD card they can record events for months. I believe they have cloud storage options but don’t use it.
The wireless aspect means you can install one almost anywhere - a roof, door, window or tree. You obviously need wireless signal but these days with a mesh router that range is huge.

I’m using HIK Vision. AI camera can recognise person and car. It can set warning zone. 2 outdoor 2 indoor camera with a 1T hard drive. It can access with app on mobile. Cost me 15k baht.

I have a wifi system from Arlo. The cameras can operate on the rechargeable battery inside the camera or you can hard wire the camera also. The system is very good but it’s more expensive than the Chinese products on the market. You get what you pay for.
