If I stay in Pattaya for 60 Days but do not get a 30 Day Extension. Where is closest Border to Cross and Re-Enter without traveling back to Bangkok to Fly out ?
I traveled to Poipet, Cambodia for a border run today. I drove there with my wife and friends who stayed on the Thailand side. Arrived at 1:00 pm. It took about 2 hours from exiting Thailand to entering Thailand. The only complication was exiting Cambodia, the Customs Agent wouldn’t stamp my passport until I talked to the Customs Officer at a nearby desk. He simply warned me that if Thailand doesn’t let me back in, then I could have a problem . I thanked him, got my stamp and proceeded to Thailand Immigration without any issue.
The Cambodian borders are open like normal BUT we suggest you do NOT bounce out and back on your own (do so at your own risk)
This is the update on Burma;
The Mae Sai / Tachileik border with Burma in Chiang Rai is closed (they said for a week). The Mae Sot / Myawaddy border with Burma in Tak is closed as well.
If you want to border bounce you can use the two borders with Lao in Chiang Rai province; Chiang Saen / Special Economic Zone <- where you cross in and out of Lao by boat across the Mekong or the Chiang Khong / Huay Xai border <- where you cross by bridge.
Also the Phu Nam Ron / Htee Khee border with Burma in Kanachanaburi is still not open for foreigners to exit/re-enter
At this time he only Burma border open is the Ranong / Kawthaung.

You want to border bounce, post on a f/b group related to where you stay in thailand and ask. Believe me you're not the only foreigner in your area who needs/wants to bounce out and back..
I have a 1 year multi non o visa, my 90days is going to end soon, so my question is, which land boarder is the nearest to me (I am in bangkok) so i can drive there and do it myself, just goes out and come back in again
Just did my first Cambodia land border visa run from Pattaya to Ban Laem crossing. I hired an agency to drive me and streamline the process. Took under 10 hours total. It was worth paying more to avoid the stress of doing it myself and potentially having an issue.
Hi, what are the chances of getting back to back visa exempt entries at Cambodian border? Previously on education visa, cancelled it and then did border run on 7th September, entered visa exempt and did extension on Tuesday until 5th November. In the interim applying for another education visa and waiting for admission letter from MoE. If this don't happen in time can another border run be done via Cambodia. The border run in September was first border run for the year.
I am planning to do a visa run to somewhere close and cheap. I have never crossed a land border before so I'm unsure of the process with stamps, visa or any other requirements. Any recommendations? I am thinking of doing a land border crossing but open to suggestions
