Further to my last question about land ownership rights. The construction company of the new village who wants to install a water pipeline under my wife's land. Tomorrow there is apparently to be a meeting between the mayor of the town the government officials of the water and the owner of the new village and my son in law who refuses to compromise on any compromise. Any idea how this meeting might end?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster discusses a meeting concerning the installation of a water pipeline under their wife's land, highlighting family dynamics especially involving a son-in-law who is actively representing the owner's interests. Various comments suggest differing opinions on the legal standing of the son-in-law and the potential outcomes of the meeting, ranging from positive resolutions to challenging disputes with authorities.
Not sure how will go but most times its a up hill battle against authorities and the power money and I don't understand what your son in-law has to do with it at this point in time he is not the legal owner of the property as you mentioned its your wife's land he may play an advisory roll for your wife but legally he has not got a leg to stand on as the ultimate decision is your wife's he maybe better staying out of it because I have witnessed situations like your go pear shape very quickly because of 3rd party involvement when it is none of their business legally I hope all goes well in your favour Chokh di
Thank you! Yeah he knows he's got no legal rights but he can represent my wife. And he is thai . He's already had the government remove a electric mast that they installed. He's a smart man who knows about thai law more than me and my wife. Thanks for your support.
Thanks for everyone's comments. But for the negative comments about my son in law he's just succeeded in kicking out the government and the new village owners. They have left with their tails between their legs. Here's too justice hey ! Even in Thailand!!
