Using the evisa system (that Canberra uses) you apply for the principle first and then apply for the spouse once it has been received.

Depends on the immigration office you use. Some might require a filing of the TM28 form, but most just use the TM30 now as address notification.

The evisa system routes your application to the embassy or consulate that serves the state you live in. You do not go to the actual embassy or consulate. It is all done online. Your visa is sent to you as a PDF attachment. You print that to show immigration on arrival.

Seen numerous posts on here saying that they were denied LLC funds even if they owned the company 100%. Embassies view this as company money not personal funds.

You can apply for a DTV at a nearby consulate. Some seem to be more strict than others. Most have switched to the evisa program, but Taipei and Jakarta are still walk in (last date for Jakarta is Nov 21st).

Many do because of need to travel between countries that don’t allow travel between the two.

Wow that’s a different one. The passports will be linked via biometrics but almost certain to raise eyebrows.

My guess is that you’d need to enter and exit using the passport 1 that has the DTV visa linked to it. You can show passport 2 to the check in desk to confirm that you have a valid visa for china on departure.

Much like a person with two different nationalities can switch passports mid flight to enter via their preferred method.

Some offices allow you to extend 45 days prior to your stamp expiry date. Most office allow 30 days prior. Some less than a week.

Anonymous participant Yes you travel with both old and new passports. Show the immigration officer your visa in your old passport and they’ll stamp you in on your new passport.

What seems ridiculous to you is the actual hoops you have to go through to get visas/extensions/Permits here.

What you deem ridiculous is irrelevant. They make the rules. You follow them or you don’t and pay the consequences.
