Hi guys for those who applied and got approved for the DTV using the activities versus the remote work, how quick was the process to show income ? Are they very strict on the 500,000 baht requirement ?

Hi Guys, Is trading online considered a remote activity? the taxes paid are only on capital gains, not on income.

I was thinking of getting a letter from the bank explaining that I work remotely on my own, and attaching all the transactions of the past year, with taxes paid.

So I’m currently 34 and a US Citizen. It’s my goal to live in Thailand full time by the time I am 40. What are the best options to make this happen with the least amount of money necessary?

Has anyone applied for a DTV Visa as a freelancer with "Phone App Development" as their primary freelance activity?

I'm planning to launch my app soon and have high hopes for its success. However, it won't be generating income by the time I apply for the DTV Visa.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like one of the first DTV has already been issued - via E-Visa system. Proof for qualification was said to be ownership of a registered company.

I have a non-O 90-day visa with the intention to extend it with a marriage visa and plan to settle in Singburi province. How do I demonstrate a monthly income of 65,000 THB within the 90-day period?

Is the process better with having the 400,000tbh in the bank?

Hello, sawat di ka 🙏

The situation:

I am British and my husband is Thai. We are going to Thailand to get his Thai ID card (he came to the U.K. as a child so needs to go to Thailand for his first Thai ID card). We hope to stay in Thailand for a while.

We are thinking of entering Thailand either with 30 days on arrival or a tourist visa. Once he has his ID card, and if we choose to stay, I will apply for a marriage visa in Thailand.

My questions:

Am I right in thinking that I will need to take our British marriage certificate, legalised/certified by the FCO in Milton Keynes and the Thai embassy in London? Then stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok?

Am I right in thinking that as a foreign wife, I will not need to prove my income (I make 40,000 baht per month anyway though if needed).

Can this be done at his local Amphur office in Thailand?

Anything else we will need?

Thanks in advance!

Retirement Visa: Income Requirements (UK passport)

I intend to set up a separate Thai bank account to receive my monthly income payment (65,000 thb). I then intend to transfer those funds out each month to my existing Thai bank account to spend and budget as usual.

My question is...

Is this a good way to organise my finances for visa reporting and can I transfer the entire 65,000 thb out each month and still stay within the visa requirements? (I guess that's two questions!!)

Thanks in advance for any guidance

Just a quick question on the "NON O" married to a Thai / Extension of Stay

Firstly, I have had some superb visa information from Tod Daniels as always (Thank you Tod).

I usually use the 40k per month but issues with wise coding it as domestic rather than International this year. Hence not a good time of the year to leave family at Xmas.

Anyhow! to the point I will/am required to start all over again but use the 400k banked.

Do I have to show it comes from International, can I use wise for this even though they there were issues with wise and domestic coding my money.

Can I use any source of money banked as long as it 400k baht in my bank 2 months prior?

Require Santa's little helpers on this please.

Hi. I have a question concerning the income requirement for non-O visa. I meet the age (73) and retirement income (though not by much, 75,000 bht/mo), and can provide bank statements for years showing deposits. I would like to keep my paid for house in case of any later health issues (none now). My question: if I transfer 65,000 bht /mo to Thailand, can I make regular transfers back to US, for upkeep of the house, being watched by family? I plan to live on less than $65,000 bht/mo, would like to actually save a little if possible
