Uk male. 64 years old. Semi-retired. Have necessary funds in bank. Have 2 part-time jobs for Thai companies in UK but combined salaries only £500 per month. Easy enough to get contracts of employment. Anyone know if the size of salary is taken into consideration when applying for DTV. Thank you

Hello, a big thanks to all the members of that group for the help provided !

So in my case, i am a freelance remote worker and as a freelancer, i don't have any contract from my employers to show (and i'm just working for one or two clients max for now) and i don't necessarily work for them every month (last year i worked for them 7 months in a roll then 5 months pause).

This year, well, i don't know, i will see how it goes, there is no certainty, it can stop from a day to another or i can also be working all year...

And i don't send an invoice each month, rather a note of copyrights (as a writer/adaptador) to the client who pays me 45 days after but each note is dated monthly, like a bill or a paycheck....

I have the amount (500K) they ask for on a bank account.

All that being said and thank you to those who read me until the end, do you think i can be eligible for the DTV, and if yes, how should i do it ?

Thank you !!!

Hi, I have an online vintage clothing shop on Depop which was pretty successful but it doesn’t make me that much money anymore. I have the 500,000 baht but I am wondering if there is a certain amount you need to be earning to get the Dtv?

Would I be able to apply using the shop as my portfolio?

Or is it better for me to apply though the Muay Thai/ cooking class route?

I’m worried about getting denied 🙃

Does anyone have experience with or know of any embassy rejecting a DTV application due to low income as a remote worker? I have a bank balance exceeding 500,000 THB and a part-time contract. As far as I know, this visa's approval does not depend on income, but I’m concerned that the embassy might focus on the low salary and reject the application based on that.

I have a question regarding DTV. As of this Summer my spouse will officially be retiring from the military. His retirement and VA disability is more than enough to live off of in Thailand which is where I will be for my internship. I’m a full time student getting a degree in ESL with a focus on teaching Thai students specifically. I can stay in Thailand on my education visa during my internship but the husband and kids will be coming with me. He is too young for a retirement visa and he’ll need to be a stay at home parent since our kids need online schooling. Does the retirement income and VA income count towards a DTV? I’ve heard conflicting answers on expat pages so I figured I would try here.

Hello,

I am hoping to plan a move to thailand in 2025, I have a remote job for which I net over 3000cad/month.

I dont have the saving requirements that I saw online. Is it possible to get a long term visa without having those savings I saw online?

Thanks,

Hello!

I work seasonally (May - October) so I'm unemployed currently (until May 2025) but I also have a rental property which I can show income for for the past couple of years.

I also have much more than the 500,000 baht needed in my bank account and have for years.

Is this enough to be considered for the workation option for the DTV? I'd rather not sign up for classes as I like to travel around thailand during my 6 months here per year.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had experience with the soft DTV from London / UK??

how many monthly statements did you need to provide for the 500k thb, and does the soft dtv also have the same income requirements as the full remote worker dtv?

I was considering an Ed visa for muay thai but this seems a much better option with multi-entry..
