I did everything in Dutch. Proof of ownership house, electric Bill, tax letter and bank statement in Dutch. At the Thai embassy in the Netherlands. All accepted.

 No 9 months visa ( the course was a bit shorter) but with the extension of the visa you ended up getting 9 months

 My school did a police check. Don't know if the police has any acces to your information in your home country
