Normally on the shorter tourist visa, you need to show flight exiting country. Is a one way ticket into Thailand ok? It should be right, as you have 180 days to find a flight out?
If you're granted a DTV, do you still need to present an onward or return ticket at the airline gate at the airport you're departing from when flying to Thailand? I did a search of this group and only found one or two posts discussing this, and I'd like a little more confirmation. Thanks!
I plan on coming back to thailand for 3 months. If i book a return flight for 90 days and come in on the 60 days entry visa am i ok to extend visa when im over there?
Are tickets from Thailand to France cheaper in Thailand?
If I take one way ticket to Bkk and rebook one way ticket to Hanoi or luang prabang, no concern about boarding paris and immigration to Bkk?
Thank you for seeing two answers 🙂

Bonjour
I am looking to re-enter Thailand for the 4th time this year. I've been pulled to side on my 3rd re-entry for not having an onward ticket ready to show at the immigration gate but was able to show it when I was pulled aside to speak with an IO. I had to fill out a form of where I was staying and a bit more info but was eventually let in. The IO stated that I should get a proper visa before my next entry or I might get denied.
Has anyone been able to re-enter more than 3 times to Thailand. I am looking to re-enter to also buy a plane ticket back to the US because it would be the cheapest and easiest route (BKK => US Airport). If I re-enter I would have an onward ticket, accommodation and funds.
Thanks for any help! I know no one here is an IO and its completely up to the IO but wanted to ask.
Edit: A bit more info, I entered 3 times in the beginning of the year with maybe 1-2 weeks or 1 month in-between each trip to Thailand (total of 98 days in Thailand this year). Now I've been away for 4 months going to Japan, Vietnam and the US.
A few questions regarding the DTV. I'm currently stuck in the UK waiting for this thing to come through, which is taking longer than I'd hoped.
1. What happens if I enter Thailand on a standard 60-day stamp-on-arrival while my visa is still pending? Someone (random Facebook comment) claimed that this would invalidate the visa. Is this true? I haven't been able to confirm this.
2. Assuming I could just leave now and enter Thailand on a 60-day stamp, then, if & when the DTV is granted, could I then cross into e.g. Cambodia, print it out, and then enter Thailand with it-- or do you have to be arriving from your country of origin to initialize it?
3. Are they asking for an onward ticket with this visa? It seems unreasonable given that it allows a stay of up to 6 months, but then again, it's bureaucracy, and Thai bureaucracy at that.
4. I've already been asked for additional documents, which I supplied. How many rounds of "additional document requests" can the process go through before it's either granted or denied? They actually responded within 24 hours with this request, which I submitted the same day, but since then it's been stuck on "pending documents".
