I just did a border bounce at the Chiang Kong - Huay Xai border. Got a visa on arrival in Lao then turned around and went back to Thailand. I had my dtv acceptens document printed out and gave it with my passport to the immigration officer.

I was asked verbally how long i will stay in Lao by Lao immigration officers and panniced and said one week. So then also wrote 7 days on the paper you need to fill out. But they didnt care when i exited Lao minutes later. The thai immigration officer asked me if i still stay in chiang mai and i said yes.

I drove my self from chiang mai. Most of the road is under construction. Wasnt the nicest ride by motorbike.

Hey guys, I’ll arrive Friday around 3pm in BKK airport. As travelling in Economy I won’t have access to the fast track immigration and I’m a little worried about the arrival situation.

Any recent experiences?

How much would be the cheapest fast track immigration? (Just some agency who picks up at the gate and brings me to the fast lane)

You guys rock!!! Arrived in Hanoi last Friday the 19th, submitted all documents needed. Sat around and waited, 24th they asked for a copy of my Vietnam Visa Page and a better picture of my Vietnam Wntry stamp page. 26th I checked all day, no update, figured I’d check one more time at 5pm. APPROVED!!

🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Merry Christmas Present to me!!!

My girlfriend and I flew in from Laos today to Don Mueang and she was flagged for multiple entries into Thailand. But they let her through. They made me show them that I had a booked flight back to America in January. We both made it through. But they are definitely screening people hard. I noticed other people being stopped and questioned. Just my first hand experience.

Heads up on double nationality

Hello everyone

I have shared my experience applying for DTV from Nepal.

What I didn’t share was that I have double citizenship and this was questioned during the interview also. I didn’t mention it because I didn’t think it was relevant to everyone. However, coming into Bangkok last night, I was pulled aside to be questioned. There were many others there scrutinized. I waited about 40 minutes before they even got to me. When they did what they questioned once again was my other passport.

They asked why I have two. I said I wish I had three 🙂

My current passport also happens to be new - as old one expired. This too raised some eyebrows.

At the end, I have told them that I had moved to the country I got a citizenship from and was married to a citizen for many years.

I am a middle aged woman, with a long life lived and left 🙂

After that they didn’t ask any questions. I was not questioned like others I witnessed.

Unsure why this is an issue - but here you have it.

Mildly rough landing but got my visa till May 🙂

Just sharing my DTV journey - I have entered for 3 times within a year of receiving DTV. Today, I landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), and felt a bit worried due to recent declaration of stricter screening especially to the travelers who enter Thailand with Visa exemption scheme although DTV holders are not in targeted list. But, the whole immigration process took place so quickly. I handed my passport, the boarding pass, the printed eVisa and completed TDAC in my phone (Officer even didn’t look at my phone as my TDAC already appeared in his computer after scanning my passport). He didn’t ask any questions, scanned my passport & the barcode of my eVisa, stamped for 180 day stay and finished. That’s totally different with the 1st time of entry that I was individually interviewed by the officer in charge of the border checkpoint (I entered Thailand with the DTV for the first time through border crossing from Cambodia), and I even missed the bus due to interviewing, long waiting time to finish immigration clearance to other travelers and interrogation to other travelers before me. This means 1st time is to be careful while the process is quite straightforward in subsequent times of reentries.
