Hi everyone, I’m really hoping someone has experience with this.

I’m interested in getting a ED Visa but I don’t want to stay at the same school in the same location the whole time. Can I do 6 months in one area and then apply to a new school and for a new extension on the Ed Visa or some variation of this that would allow me to see more than one place for a whole year?

Has anyone done this?

Hello. My son is on a Ed visa with a international school, me a non-O (based on being a guardian of a child in school here)

My visa expires in 6 days, I've been asking the school for the documents and they have just told me (with 7 days notice of my visa expiring) that I need to pay up front for the school year, despite being told for months I can pay monthly.

Anyway, I don't have this money at this short notice and be able to have the seasoned funds in a Thai account.

So anyone know my options here? It seems like getting the Ed visa is impossible with their new policy's and the lack of time. Can I get a covid extension and get the ed visa at a later date?

Can I ask what people's plans are for after the covid extension? Do you think there will be a way to extend it again somehow (maybe tourist visa)even if they stop the covid extension?

Please help, losing my mind

Hey Guys! This might sound like a bit of a stupid question but...I’m going to Ho Chi Minh to try and get my Thai ED visa. I know it costs...I’m just wondering if anyone knows - do I pay in Vietnam currency or in Thai baht or do they accept both?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks x

Hello, my friend is a Chinese national about to apply for a Thai ED visa. The Thai embassy in Beijing requires a certificate of deposit no less than 50,000rmb. Does anyone know exactly what this statement should look like? Does he need to leave a 50,000rmb deposit untouched for a predetermined period of time? Or can it just be a bank statement showing the balance of the account? Any help is much appreciated.

going to get my thai ED visa in Hanoi at the thai embassy in a few weeks. does anyone know the current cost they charge? i have heard and read conflicting quotes; 40 USD, 80 USD 2000THB and 3000THB. any help on the actual price is greatly appreciated, as i am under the impression that it needs to be paid in USD in Hanoi and i'd like to get that sorted before I arrive. thanks for the help this forum is great.

I’m a US citizen getting ready to apply for a Thai ED visa in the US tomorrow am, and I wanted to know details about what my itinerary / flight bookings should look like. I’ve already booked my flight to Thailand and I have that paperwork squared away, but I’m having trouble figuring out what date I need to book a flight out. Should it be 90 days or for the full length of the visa that’s been requested from the educational institution? (9 months)

Also, when I fill out the application should it be for the 90 day or 9 months time period? I can’t seem to find this info.

Hallo friends of Hua Hin, I came nearly 3 months ago to Thailand with a Ed Visa, valid for 3 month. Now I need a tourist visa, for as long as possible, because I want to open a Thai company and stay longer in Thailand. For the first I need a maximum time more.Has anyone a good advice for me? I hear about a 6 month tourist visa.... nonsense? Or can I get a tourist visa for at least 3 months? Where do I apply, what's better, Laos, or Malaysia? I hope to get a useful answer, thank you so far, greetings, Carsten
