Good morning I’m British but living in Portugal before and my bank statements are in Portuguese. Shall I translate them into English? I know that that’s what we’re supposed to do but of course it’s not gonna be on the original looking statement….
DTV Workcation approved from HCMC, Vietnam yesterday. Thank you everyone for helping!
Wanted to give an update on the translation of documents: I have used normal translations (click transkate website for babk account overview for example) and submitted invoices in German with added translations by me next to the original text marked in colour.
After having it 'pending approval' for ages with all the holidays in the last month I sent a very polite email yesterday pointing out my approaching visa end in Vietnam and if they need any more information. Got the approval 1.5h later, not sure if it was related to my email 🙂 Thanks and good luck everyone!
I’m Lithuanian and currently staying in Vietnam. I want to apply for the new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) but the process seems a bit confusing.
My documents (like work contract and company registration) are in Lithuanian — I’ll translate them to English, but I’m not sure if they need to be “authenticated by the Thai embassy” or if that’s still required with the new online system.
Has anyone applied for the DTV visa from Vietnam recently? Did you use an agency? Any advice or success stories would really help! 🙏
Do all documents need to be in thai or translated to thai language? Do they need to be officially translated or can it be done using google translate? I plan to apply in savanakhette.
I'm getting married here in a couple weeks. I have the notarized affidavit from my embassy and need to get it translated. The first place I checked said they were a "certified translator" and I guess that is a lower level qualification. What level of qualification is required. Also what's the going rate? I was quoted 1500 per page which seems steep. I have only one page (really only 1/2 page) and I'm thinking it would take no more than 30 minutes, so was a little surprised at the price.
Hello, what are requirement for dependant persons on DTV (wife and kid) ? Do they also need to show bank account (for each person) or it’s required only for the main DTV holder ?
Hello, as a French applying for DTV in Vietnam, I translated most of the documents in English, but what about the bank statement and my 6 months salary, it’s mostly numbers.. Should it be translated from French to English too ..?
