just to add Tod that the building owners had already notified immigration that I was living there. This they did on the day I arrived. The IO confirmed it showed this on her system.
I appreciate what you’re saying Jeff. However the wording of the rental contract for this apartment building has remained the same for a long time now and has always been accepted without any question. The latest rental contract I presented to CW immigration was verbatim of the previous contract I presented to them for my previous rental agreement with the company. This previous contract was accepted without question. I am of the firm opinion that it depends entirely on the IO you are fortunate or unfortunate at having to deal with on that particular day.
yes I appreciate that Tod, I did deal with this in section B. I did get a bit concerned when she kept flicking through the pages multiple times as if looking for something to find fault with. Maybe just a bad day for her, certainly ruined my day.
not sure what you mean by “wasn’t in date “ . This was a new contract between me and the property owners. The contents and the wording were exactly the same as the previous contract we signed five years ago previous to re locating to Issan at the on set of Covid. This was accepted by CW immigration for my TM30 without any questions. This very same contract has been used by the owners for many years now without question.
I wish all the IOs in CW were so helpful. Returned to Bangkok last week after spending two yrs in Issan. Returned to the same apartment building we lived in previous. Took exactly the same info to register my
TM 30 as I did four yrs previous. Including the exact same rental contract which has been used by the owners for years without problems. The lady IO wouldn’t accept the rental contract without some further information being added. The mind boggles.
