I’m going to renew my retirement extension next month at Bangkok CW, and want to go down the appointment route. As I have to arrange my bank letter etc, does anyone know what the average waiting time is for an appointment.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have an appointment at Bangkok CW for your retirement extension, there is typically no wait time. You are advised to arrive 10 minutes early, show your appointment sheet, and proceed to the relevant counter. An efficient process is reported, allowing you to be served promptly.

There is no wait time IF you have an appointment at C/W.

You show up 10 minutes before, show the gurk in the first cubby your appointment sheet, get the paperwork vetted and go to counter L1-32

If she's waiting on someone just hold up your appointment paper so she sees it and as soon as she's done she'll call you in.

Works like clockwork.

sorry Tod, maybe I didn’t make it clear. I meant when applying for appointment, how many days notice do you normally have to give.

you can book up to 30 days early I believe. use the link I sent you and see if you can book the appointment for the date you want.

Also there is NO advantage booking an appointment for right when they open (8:30) because you'll get caught in the "herd" trying to get in. Same for booking one when they re-open from the lunch closure (13:00). I'd say in the morning book it for 9:30 or 10 and in the afternoon, book it after 13:30..
