TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing your extension of stay for retirement, proof of insurance is not needed unless you are applying for an O-A Visa issued in your home country. It's important to verify with your Immigration Officer for the latest rules.

That has cleared it up for me also. Thankyou. Now I just have to hope my IO knows that.

NOT NEEDED...Relax and Enjoy your sunny weekend 🌞

The new requirement is ONLY for O-A Visas issued in your home country.

If people read things properly and posted correct information, there wouldn't be any need for clarification.
