It’s my first 90 day reporting and could do with some help .

I moved into a condo in HH in June , and the landlord registered my tm30 , never gave me a copy .

I have been out the country since then but now my 90day report is due 7th November .

I have been in bangkok last week so confused how this will effect my tm30 . As I travel a lot it seems a bit silly my landlord would need to file a new tm30 every time I stay away for a night in another province.

Should I just go to imiigration with the address of my condo for my tm30 part ? Or any suggestions what to do ?

I read someone say book into a hotel for the night before to reset it but I would like my condo registered . I heard HH immigration are good and they will know the condo resort I stay in, I’m just worried I will get it wrong ot get a fine .

Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance for their first 90-day reporting due on November 7 and has concerns regarding their TM30 registration after traveling outside the province. Other users suggest checking the specific policies at the Hua Hin immigration office, as rules can differ, and indicate that in some cases, a new TM30 filing may not be necessary if returning to the same address. They also recommend options like doing online reporting or seeking help from immigration staff in Hua Hin. The conversation highlights common issues expats face with TM30 and 90-day reporting requirements.

I’m very confused. I thought that if one was not in-country for 90 days, the 90 day report was not necessary.

It varies from office to office as stated. My office has just started to insist on a fresh tm30 even after one day away if it was registered. If you stay in a hotel or guest house it will be registered. I have registered the property I live in myself at tm30.io and I can now register tm30 on line by uploading a copy of my passport each time I return home.

if you are long term in Thailand you must report every 90 days to your local immigration office or on line if it works. If you leave Thailand your 90 days starts again when you re enter.

when you re enter do you just count 90 days yourself and then report. As i did not get any paper work on when the 90 days was due when i re enterd

you can report up to 14 days before or 7 days after in person and you work it out yourself. You will get paper from io.

Your 90 days from your re-entry into Thailand. If you need to do a 90 day report try doing it online. So easy.

if it was easy everybody would do it. The system frequently does not work. If it works for you you are lucky. It has only worked for me since in r years.

I'm no spring chicken Nick so not as smart on a laptop as some but I always do it online now. Remember, you can submit 15 days before so there's plenty of time to give it a go. Of course if you get a new passport you have to go in person the first time.

I tried while on Phuket but it just would not work. I believe it is because my current tm30 did not concur with my home province. I had to do it in person at Bangkok which caused ructions on my next visit to local IO as I had not reported to them again! I will give it another go next time but my tm30 has to be up to date.

Hi! We live in Hua Hin as well and traveled outside province as well as outside country. We have a copy of our initial TM30 so as soon as we came back home from outside the province and from outside country, we went directly to immigration to tell them we been out and if they need to update out TM30 in their system. Both times we were told that if we are leaving at the same address then we don't have to update the TM30....so that was great because initially we were worried also that everytime we leave province or country, our landlord would have to deal with this hassle

I also live in Hua Hin, they don't require you to file every time you go away, occasionally they say are you still at the same address or what is your house number. I have lived in other places that do require it.

You need to go to Hua Hin immigration and ask them what their policy is. Each immigration office has their own policy in regards to TM30. They will tell you 1 of 3 options:

1) You need to file a TM30 every time you return home after spending a night away.

2) You need to file a TM30 every time you leave the country and return but not if you only travel inside the country.

3) You don't have to file a new TM30 when you leave the country or travel inside the country as long as you return to the same address previously filed.

Thanks , great info .

thanks for that I always wondered why I never get questioned.

Number 3 must be the policy at immigration office I use

Ask your Immigration Office if they require a new one. Some offices only require one if you leave the country. Some require one if you leave the province. My Immigration Office in Maha Sarakham only requires one if I leave the country.
