Korat Immigration Office

My experience today.

(I’m on a retirement visa)

Yesterday I moved from Bangkok to Korat.

Today I (we) went to the immigration office in Korat.

The change of address took 5 minutes.

The now due 90 day report took 5 minutes.

My friend I’m living with showed her house book and Thai ID.

I showed my passport.

10 minutes finished, no passport copies, no TM30, no nothing needed.

Big thanks to the staff at Korat Immigration.

I was doing the change of address and 90 day report - not renewing/extending my visa. So, no they checked nothing about my bank account.

I actually did use an agent when I was in Bangkok. I found it well worth the fee. I have seen some agents that claim they will “take care of” the bank issue, but I’ve stayed clear of someone offering what is obviously questionable.

thks for your reply , do you use an agent to get your retirement visa. my major concern was the 800,000 thb in the thai bank account. i have the money but i find it a waste to sit and not earn money on that large amount. thk you sir

change of address is the tm 30

Paul Denson more likely to be the other way round. Generally not needed or requested by anyone holding a tourist visa except if a hotel asks for your passport then they do one. However, for long term extensions of stay, a TM30 is routinely requested though not always.
