I think you are saying that your dsughter is getting the Ed Visa to attend School and your partner is getting a guardian visa? Or is your partner also getting an Ed Visa? IF your partner is not related to your daughter, she might not be eligible for the guardian visa.
if you can get the DTV visa... that's your best option.
Its sad that you did not get the DTV visa in the UK, home country. As the Thai Embassy in the UK appears, from reports, to be easier for UK Passport holders to get the DTV visa.
Yes but it's easiest to do a BORDER BOUNCE. The requirements for the extension are similar to those you used to get the DTV visa plus ADDED ones which differ from one Thai Immigration office to another office in Thailand.
Applied Monday evening 10pm. Tuesday 10am request for more documents. 1am this morning received an email of approved visa.
Highly reccomend Dowden Muay Thai in Koh Samui. I messaged them on instagram and they was very helpful throughout the whole process. They said they have only just started doing the DTV visa and have had less than 5 apply so far. They was very thorough and helpful. Would highly recommend. Wasn’t requested anymore Muay Thai docs so what they gave me first time round was plenty.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
