I am 86 years old and have a DVT Medical Wellness visa. I applied for it myself 10 days ago. I sent all the documents requested by the embassy (20 pages), including my hospital appointment in April 2026. I am now waiting for a decision; if it's not approved, no problem. My plan B is visa-free entry every four months, a 21-day stay in Thailand for my health update, and then departure. I would also enter similarly with a DVT visa, but definitely not for a long-term stay of 180 days.
Hello 👋 can someone give any examples of consent letter to introduce yourself and understanding the DVT visa please. This has been asked for by London embassy as supporting documents. Also a consent letter to remain in the UK until visa is done ..any advice will be appreciated thankyou
Hi everyone! Grateful for your help 🫶 I am both a Aus & UK resident (live with family in both places so have residency proofs). Currently in Aus for 8 weeks before heading back to UK for 6 weeks which is where I will be going to thailand hopefully on the dvt from. Do you see any issues applying for the DVT now in Aus, but my statements will be a UK bank account + UK employment? My dependent will also be applying after (I'm guessing the location he will apply from will not make a difference then?)
If you hold a DVT visa but are now legally married to a Thai national, can you now open a bank account with the Marriage Certificate? If yes, which banks will open an account?
Hey 👋 Has anyone had a DVT visa and then had a new passport, did it need transfering or could you stamp out on your old passport and then the new stamp coming back would go into the new passport ?
