I think a lot of people will have to face reality. Thai people cant just go abs visit another country let alone stay indefinitely

What is classed as living in Thailand? Is owning a house or a current rental agreement enough? For people staying here in an over 50 basis is that classed as living here?

Just apply for another Non-O visa when you finally arrive like you did before.

really, I've never seen that anywhere but after I changed over myself from a 6 month Visa stopped looking to be honest.

Your agent must have given them a good back hander as I was told by everyone at immigration that to change to a non-O 90 day you needed ar least 30 days remaining. Did you get an extension to your visa exemption giving more than 30 days and have to show funds in bank etc???

If you are over 50 you can apply for a Visa based on the fact you are over 50 but need 30 days minimum on your current Visa. As you are here in the Covid-19 amnesty you cannot apply and will have to leave and apply from outside if Thailand or come back at a later date on a Visa (not Visa exemption stamp) and change then. Either way you cant do it in your position now.

If you are not in Thailand at the moment you will need to apply for a new Visa and I dint think any embassies are issuing at this time. Looks like you will have to wait several months to return to Thailand I'm afraid.

Nobody knows so just keep talking to the Embassy in UK.

I'm confused as to why you would book when you will be refused entry....... can you share if you have a valid work permit and all paperwork as if not thus seems a senseless post 🤔
