I'd like to share our experience with the DTV visa application process in Ho Chi Minh City.

I'm choosing to post anonymously because my past interactions haven't been positive. Although some responses to my questions were kind, I encountered a few rude and mean individuals, with some even accusing me of copying other people's content. Despite that, I simply wish to share our journey.

While many say it's an easy application, we opted for Watt, a highly reputable visa agent from

[members only]

for our peace of mind. I believe it was 100% worth it. Although abundant guidance exists online, I'm not particularly adept with documents and tend to over-submit, so I entrusted Watt with the process.

We are e-commerce business owners; my husband is the CEO, and I am the operations manager. We arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on June 4th, and Watt submitted our documents on the same day.

Here's a breakdown of the documents submitted:

Passports with visa stamps

Passport photos

Business registration documents and licenses

A concise employment verification letter, co-signed by both of us for each other

Six months' worth of personal checking account statements showing over 1 million Thai Baht. We met the 1 million Baht requirement for two people in the last two months. Since we are business owners, Watt suggested applying separately, which we did.

Timeline:

June 4th: Paperwork submitted online to the Ho Chi Minh City embassy.

June 7th: Supporting documents requested:

Proof of residence for me, for which I resubmitted my visa stamp along with two receipts bearing my full name (from nail and massage services, easily obtainable).

CVs or business portfolios with two work samples were requested for both my husband and me.

After submitting these additional documents, we traveled to Hoi An and Da Nang with our son. However, our Airbnb was in Ho Chi Minh City, so if further inquiries about our primary residence arose, we could confirm it was Ho Chi Minh City.

June 11th: My visa was approved.

June 19th: My husband's visa was approved.

The entire process was systematic and straightforward. Yes, we paid an agent's fee, but it was minimal and, as mentioned, 100% worthwhile.

Now, we're packing our bags and ready to head to Thailand! ❤️ If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Hi all,

I have a question regarding where to upload additional documents. Since the provided fields are designated for specific documents, where can I add extra files such as my condo contract in Bangkok, cover letter, CV, payslips, proof of self-employment registration, salary transaction statements, health insurance documents, and similar paperwork?

i know I can merge files together, but i would like to be sure I upload them in the correct field.

I hope someone can help clarify this.

Thank you!

Hello.

I'm returning to Thailand at the end of this month or early July and staying for between 6 and 8 weeks.

The cost of flights direct with a Flexi ticket has increased to the point where I would like to get a single too Bangkok from Heathrow then when I know my return date I'll book another single back to the UK. which works out much cheaper than a return FLEXI ticket.

My question is does anyone know what is the cheapest way I can leave Thailand with a bus ticket or flight from Bangkok without actually having to use it to show the authorities that my intention is not to stay in Thailand for a long time. I understand the moral implications however I am quite genuine and just want to save some money and satisfying Buddha control that I've intend returning

Thank you

UPDATE: Just approved May 9!!! Thank you every one

I applied in Hanoi 10 days ago but it still hasn't been approved. Is there anyone else waiting in Hanoi like me? Is it taking so long for the visa to be approved because my expected arrival date is next month? Or is it because I apply my stay to 5 months?

To those who got their passport abroad, what did you type in "place of issue"? My passport doesn't have this field so I'm struggling because of the posts of several people who got their application cancelled because they filled in the country where the passport was issued. My passport has the voice "Authority". Should I type in what it's written there? I mailed the embassy which replied me "Fill in the form in full accordance with the information in your passport". Please only replies from those who have already applied in a situation similar to mine. Thanks
