I'm in the process of applying for a multiple entry tourist Visa on a UK Passport. I havnt booked a flight yet nor accommodation but it asks for both of these on the online application. Does anyone have experience of putting in the hotel I normally stay at and a date for flying but not actually use these. The reason I ask is I want to go to Thailand via USA and Korea and am flexible in dates or are they very strict and need proof of flight/hotel booking etc

They want confirmed paid for bookings. If you sent a message through the Evisa website, your question has gone to Bangkok and not the Embassy

Really...damn. It sounds like i need to get a bit more organized and book some flights and accomodation. I really like to leave these things open so i have flexibility but rules are rules. Many thanks for the clarification. Andy.

Thanks everyone. I sent them a question using the "ask me a question" facility but havnt heard any thing back and as it's been 4 days I dont think I will now. Maybe I'll look at the over 50 Visa and see if they want all the lodging details up front.

I've often booked a "pay later" hotel and cancelled the booking later. There are also fully refundable air fares (though they tend to be bloody expensive!).

I had to have proof when applying for my last year.
