I am a UK Passport holder living in the UK and have been applying for a Multiple entry Visa for Thailand using the ThaiEVisa website however Now I have all my info they dont have an appointment available before I fly to the USA for a few weeks. Am I able to apply for a Thai METV in the UNited States whilst I am visiting or is that for USA Citizens only? I will have 2 weeks there before heading to Korea for 9 days and then on to Thailand in Mid Dec.

My current plan is just to get stamped in for 30 days when I arrive as will be visiting other countries in SE Asia too but want to be able to re-enter Thailand before heading back to teh UK.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder is inquiring about the possibility of applying for a Multiple Entry Visa for Thailand while in the USA, given the unavailability of appointments in the UK before their trip. Comments suggest that if the individual enters Thailand visa-exempt for 30 days initially, they may be able to re-enter under the same terms, and they should consider postal options for applying for the visa from the UK.

and we're done. Good Luck Andy. I think you have an idea of what to do.

I have seen your other posts regarding applying in London. You keep saying there are no appointments to attend the Embassy. In that case, select the postal option after doing the online application. You will have it back in less than 5 days.

yes. London MUST be done online. Consulates are not done online at this time

This is what is confusing me that it says all applications need to be online since June 2019 and thats all Ive read on here too. Im assuming from what you say that all applications to the London Embassy need to be done online but using Consulates I can go in person until June 2020....... If thats the case I'll give it a go ๐Ÿ‘

Andy Turner no. Forget London and the online application if you want to use a consulate. The consulates do not have anything to do with the online application at this time. They are independent of the system until around June 2020. Just contact a consulate and go there.

@Andy *******
no. Only London is online application. The consulates are walk in BUT some require an appointment. Call them.

yes you will need confirmed flights. Not sure about posting to an unregistered address. You could go to a consulate and do it on the day. Hull, Liverpool, Cardiff or Dublin. Just call them before you travel as they keep odd hours at times.

I was thinking of doing it by post but so scared it would take longer and I couldnt make my flight to the usa. Additionally I'm heading to my parents in a few days to see them before I leave and not sure if they would send my passport to a different address than the application. Its my fault as I waited to long before starting the process but didnt have flights booked which they want to see.

How long are you planning to spend in Thailand on your second entry? If under 60 days, you can enter visa exempt first time, and you will get 30 days, then enter visa exempt the second time, and get 30 days, that you can further extend for 30 more days at local Immigration at a cost of THB 1,900

Visa exempt by air is unlimited, if not abused. If you spend time in other countries also (not 1 day to hurry back to Thailand, plus max your stay out in Thailand), you should not have an issue using visa exempt.

Alternatively, you could consider an SETV in one of the neigboring countries you might travel to, as long as your passport is not full of them already, in which case you may encounter some issues at certain Consulates.

It will be under 60 days as I hope to visit both Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia too. I think a Visa exemption will cover my needs fine I just dont want to get turned away at the border as I read they are tightening up. I was last in Thailand in March 2019 and no plans tolive or work there. I have to be back in the UK for April if not before but can leave Thailand every 30 days and visit a diffent SE Asia country any time as I have no set plans. I think Im going to forget the 90 day METV as I dont really need one at this stage.
