I am holding South African passport and I have valid retirement (O-A) visa which will expire on 15 July. Currently, I am in South Africa. South African passport holder can stay in Thailand without a visa for 30 days. The problem is I am not sure yet when Thai authority will allow us into Thailand. Say, if they allow from 1st August, I hope can enter into Thailand and have to stay 14 days quarantine. After out of quarantine, my worry is are they allow to apply for retirement visa again. If they do not allow a retirement visa, it does not make sense to come back to Thailand. Anyone can suggest? Thank you.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A South African passport holder with a valid retirement (O-A) visa that expires soon is concerned about the possibility of reapplying for the retirement visa after quarantine upon entering Thailand. Comments suggest waiting for the Thai authorities to clarify entry regulations and visa reapplication procedures, with recommendations to apply for a new Non-O visa if the retirement visa is not possible. The situation is complicated by ongoing travel restrictions and the need for careful adherence to visa rules.
