Ive just landed back in Chiang Mai for the Winter on a 6 month METV (UK Passport). I was stamped in 60 days. Can I get this extended and if so how long for and does it cost anything? Im planning heading over to Vietnam in January or Feb anyway but just want to keep my options open.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend your 60-day METV visa by 30 days at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht. Alternatively, you could exit to a neighboring country like Vietnam and return to get a new 60-day stamp.
