TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the process for UK citizens to obtain a letter for an additional 30-day stay in Thailand, particularly in the context of flight options from Suvarnabhumi Airport back to the UK. The comments emphasize the necessity of exploring all flight options before seeking special assistance.
as long as flights leave Suvarnabhumi Airport to the U.K. you are advised to do everything to go on stand-by and catch a flight. Only when all options run dry, you have a chance in receiving the "no-fly-help-me-I-am-stuck" letter. . . . . and be told: fligths are still leaving Thailand to the UK up to today
Apparently this advice was issued by the Government today (Maybe Boris Johnstones address but I cant find it yet). Sure if you can get back then this is the way forward.
