Last question, (2 actually), I promise. Relating to applying for an O-A visa from the UK. I have to submit a certificate showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535). Where can I get this from. Is it something my Dr would need to give me or do I have to go to a private health centre.

Secondly is there a telephone number that we can call to discuss requirements and if required proofs would be acceptable etc...

And here's me thinking it was hard to get a work permit for the USA........

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain the required certificate showing no prohibitive diseases for your O-A visa application from the UK, you can request your doctor to provide this document. It's not necessary to go to a private health center, as most general practitioners should be able to issue this certificate for a fee. For further information regarding requirements, you can check the UK Thai embassy website or contact them directly by phone or email. There is also a suggested medical certificate form available on the Thai consulate website that you can use.

okay, on the thai consulate in London under the Non-O-A visa section they have a link that jumps to a suggested medical certificate you need to have signed.

Use it..

To answer the second question, the requirements are on the UK website where they describe the O-A requirements. However, I don't remember if they took down the sample form in the last few months.

You can find it elsewhere but you don't need to have that form filled in. Just words that are equivalent to what is on the website.

You can email or call the London embassy if you are unsure but I suggest that your send your doctor what you need and see what he or she saud first (unless time is a factor).

Its not a full medical like on the O-X requirement list just screening for certain diseases like TB, Leprosy, Syphilis, and a few more. I think i have blown my application as the Drs in the UK are so hard to get an appointment with. I went to my clinic today in Scotland and was told to send them an email and they would look into it and that about sums up the poor service here. I think ive missed the chance for this winter.... ive only myself to blame.

This is something your doctor should be able to do. They probably have a set fee for it. Check their website, if they have one.

The current requirements shouldn't need a blood test although a physical examination may be required or they may just look at your records.

You can't say that with any degree of certainty It's totally up to the doctor that's signing the form.

That's why MANY people actually have the form signed in thailand BEFORE going back to get the visa from their consulate.

Some doctors require ALL the tests that can be run to sign that certificate and some just pencil whip it and sign it.
