Justin Im a little confused by your above statement regarding the extension of stay is not automatically cancelled unless it refers to a multiple entry visa. IE. If someone enters on a SETV or Visa Exempt and then applies and recieves an extension of stay then surely if they leave the Kingdom then I would assume that the extension of stay ceases immidiately as they have left and they will need another Visa to re-enter or possibly enter as Visa exept. For someone travelling on a METV or OA that is given an extension are you saying you can leave and come back in and the extension remains valid? I think you are as thats how it worked with my Work Visa for the USA that I got extended and I was in and out regularly.
This is what is confusing me that it says all applications need to be online since June 2019 and thats all Ive read on here too. Im assuming from what you say that all applications to the London Embassy need to be done online but using Consulates I can go in person until June 2020....... If thats the case I'll give it a go π
I was thinking of doing it by post but so scared it would take longer and I couldnt make my flight to the usa. Additionally I'm heading to my parents in a few days to see them before I leave and not sure if they would send my passport to a different address than the application. Its my fault as I waited to long before starting the process but didnt have flights booked which they want to see.
It will be under 60 days as I hope to visit both Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia too. I think a Visa exemption will cover my needs fine I just dont want to get turned away at the border as I read they are tightening up. I was last in Thailand in March 2019 and no plans tolive or work there. I have to be back in the UK for April if not before but can leave Thailand every 30 days and visit a diffent SE Asia country any time as I have no set plans. I think Im going to forget the 90 day METV as I dont really need one at this stage.
I didnt think you could apply for a Tourist Visa at the consulates any more? My understanding is you have to do the application on line via Thaievisa. If it is possible I can still get a TV myself as no appointments left in London before I start my trip.
