Hmm…there is both time and baht involved—two registered letters at the Thai Post, a visit there, a completed TM47 form as well. Also, some agents include it in their fee e.g. 90-day reports done for you so I imagine some people would take advantage of that. In fact, the folks I know who use agents do it for several reasons inclu. they can’t be bothered (laziness) and paying an agent to do it all almost certainly ensures their report is never rejected, so it’s stress free all round.
you may not be aware that agents provide a service some of which includes doing your 90-day reports for you. I don’t personally use them, but I know people who do.
many thanks for confirming what other people said on Twitter. I’m going to keep on waiting for at least another week and then if, after eight weeks, I haven’t got anything back from them, I’ll probably end up going down there. Yes I have a receipt to prove that I sent it to Immigration, Div 1, 15 days before. Thanks again.
