What should I do if my 90-day report sent by post to Thai Immigration has not been processed after six weeks?

Can anyone offer any advice? Regarding the 90-day report, I sent it through the Thai post 6 weeks ago but it has still not been processed. Nobody has even contacted me despite sending it as a registered letter and so i have a receipt saying it was received by Immigration.

Should i go down to Chaeng Wattana to ask why or keep waiting a bit longer? Someone on X told me he waited 8 weeks before to get the prcessed paper slip back in the post from Thai Immigration. Anyone else waiting a long time?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user sent their 90-day report via post to Thai Immigration six weeks ago but has not received confirmation of processing. They are contemplating whether to wait longer or visit the Immigration Office in Chaeng Wattana for an update. Other users suggest that, given the current backlog at Immigration, it's normal for processing times to be longer than usual. Some recommend filing the report online as a quicker alternative and mention that mailing the report is indeed an option. Users share experiences of similar delays, noting that it's essential to send the report 15 days before the deadline to avoid issues.

If it’s your first time you gotta go down to the immigration office there after you can do it online

By post it can sometimes take ages to get the report back. Provided you sent it 15 days before the due date, don't worry about it. I used to do it all the time by post, and one time got the report back after eight weeks

many thanks for confirming what other people said on Twitter. I’m going to keep on waiting for at least another week and then if, after eight weeks, I haven’t got anything back from them, I’ll probably end up going down there. Yes I have a receipt to prove that I sent it to Immigration, Div 1, 15 days before. Thanks again.

Worked fine for me for many years

Thought first 90 day reports had to be done in person? Or maybe not. 🤷

you can try registering online for the 90 day reporting trying different browsers.

When I first tried it did not work for me either, and some-one suggested using a different browser which ended up working.

tried every browser thanks.

are you using autofill when filing? It wont work if you do. Your tm30 also needs to be up to date and registered at your home address. That is why it would not work for me.

yes I know all this. Been doing it literally years and years. My question was about the postal method. Thanks.

The OP made no mention of it being his 1st 90 day report.

ah. Thought he was doing first one by post. Never heard of that.

Just an update I was talking to people on Twatter and I’m hearing right now Thai Immigration is totally swamped so everything is taking much longer than normal. I was told 90-day reports by post, for example, can take between 4-8 weeks to process.

i have a fantastic solution to reduce their workload; remove the 90 day report !

May I ask you
@Tom ******
who told you to send 90 days report by post ? I personally never even heard about this option
Ken ***********
@Sue *********
mailing in your 90 day report has always been an option. Google it.
Steve **********
@Ken ******
common sense also an option

it’s one of 3 ways you can do (4 if you include paying an agent to do it for you).

@Tom ******
an agent for a 90 day ...?

Online 5 min

In person 5 min + travel

you may not be aware that agents provide a service some of which includes doing your 90-day reports for you. I don’t personally use them, but I know people who do.
Steve **********
@Tom ******
yes, am aware, but a 90 day report is as simple as putting a stamp on an envelope....why have someone do for you ?

There is no time or baht involved .

@Steve *********
Hmm…there is both time and baht involved—two registered letters at the Thai Post, a visit there, a completed TM47 form as well. Also, some agents include it in their fee e.g. 90-day reports done for you so I imagine some people would take advantage of that. In fact, the folks I know who use agents do it for several reasons inclu. they can’t be bothered (laziness) and paying an agent to do it all almost certainly ensures their report is never rejected, so it’s stress free all round.

You are already late now so when your next report is due report in persdon and take the evidence that you sent it and you may not get the 2000B fine

you don’t understand. I filed my 90-day report by post instead of face2face or online as is everyone’s right to do. The online format doesn’t work for me and immigration recently told people they’d prefer you to do it other than face2face. So I’m not actually late.

@Tom ******
but you said you applied 6 weeks ago, you applied too early then

I don't live far from Immig Office, abd walk to mall afterwards, so submit in person....incl filling out TM 47, was in and out in under 5 min.
