Hi Everyone. Back in Feb I made a post seeking info one the procedure for doing the one year reporting to immigration required of the Long Term Resident Visa (LTR-P for me) as I was approching my one year mark on 12 May. I was particularly wondering about the Chonburi Immigration aoffice in Jomtien. Since not many people had done that process yet, there as little fdback, but some recommendations on who to contact. I couldnt figure out how to bumpthat post, so this is my follow up.

So I sent an email to both the Chonburi aimmigration Office and the BOI office in Bangkok. Inever got a response from the immigration office, but the BOI replied in just a few days. They attached a 14 page PDF file, mostly all in Thai, that appeared to be instructions to immigration offices on how to handle LTR applications and the one year report. In their email, the BOI pointed out the specific pages that applied to one year report. They also said that the immigration office may or may not "realize they have the authority to handle this" and I should go to the LTR one stop office in Bangkok if they won't process it.

The key forms provided the the pdf were a TM 95, "Notification Form for an Alien staying in the Kingdom lokger than one year (LTR Visa)". The other form was STM 8 "Criteria and Conditions Acknowledgement Form for a temporary stay permit in the Kingdom (LTR Visa)" Both forms had English subtitles for eac line to fill in.

The TM 95 just asked for my passport info, arrival info and my current address. The STM 8 was just a heading of my passport info then listed things not to do like get arrested.

So off I went toChonburi immigration. I brought my passport, TM30, lease, LTR Visa email from Thai embassy in US that approved the visa. Later, when I got to the counter to be helped, the sign said youneeded copy of property owners national ID card. I didnt know this, but luckily it was included as an attachment on my lease.

As to the facility, I didnt make an appointment and arrived at 0845, and the open at 0830. There were many people already there, but hardly packed. I wnetto building B, labeled Information, and walked right up to desk and told them what I was there for. They gave me a ticket that said 10A029 and directed me to building A..they have 3 different counters setup. One labeled "90 day reports; one labeled "Address Notification" and one labeled "residency certificates". My counter was labeled 10, whichis why my ticket started with 10A. Each counterhas its own ticket numbers that operate separately.

I had about 20 numbers ahead of me. It moved at a fair pace, and I was called after waiting 30 minutes. She looked at my documents, asked if this was mycurrent address, and that was prettymuch it. No other paperwork, never signed anything, and was done in10 minutes. She didnt retain any of the forms I completed. What she did do was create a new TM30 slip with todays date, and stapled it to a page in my passport.

So Iwas in and out in less than 1 hour total. Very painless and smooth. They seemed completely aware of the LTR visa and process. No pause to ask a supervisor or anything. Glad I didnt have to go to Bangkok.

That's a way too detailed report but it covers everything I did. Much easier than I expected. No online option is available and the report mustbe done between 15 days prior to arrival daye or within 7 days after.

Non O Retirement questions:

USA passport

Visa Exempt 13 Sep with extension stamp to 11 Nov.

Chonburi

Funds > 2 months

Age > 50

About one week ago IMM provided list of documents required for Non O Retirement when I did the exempt stamp extension. See the pic. Nothing I can see has any of the house rent info listed.

Today, the IMO provided a second list of documents required regarding the house I am renting, see pic. I'm renting a single house, not a condo and not a villa.

Also today, IMO marked a line thru the TM87 and said incorrect TM87 and provided me a new blank copy of TM87, an exact same form of the one I had today with my typed info.

Questions:

My TM87 info was typed except for signature and was two pages vs front and back. Could that be the problem with my info typed on the form vs handwritten or even two pages vs front and back??

I asked what was the problem with my TM87, and the reply was "I give you new one"...so I'm baffled and wonder if when I return to IMM the handwritten copy will have the same problem, but front and back this time. (handwriting is blue ink)

I had the rental contract that included a page of the landlord's ID card and the house registration but the IMO didn't want to look.

My bank documents were good today.

Will there be a problem if I use the same bank documents (dated today) when I return tomorrow?? Or must I get new dated documents from the bank again when I return tomorrow??

The IMO wasn't helpful and seemed irritated...is that the normal attitude I can expect every time and with all the IMO? I was polite, hello/thank you/etc. The IMO demeanor was nothing compared to the helpful and friendly staff that provide the Que ticket.

Thanks and I appreciate any suggestions.

[Visa Extension] I did my research just have some confirmation questions. I'm a US citizen, I came to Thailand on 8/29 so my 30 day is up on 9/29. I'm in Pattaya.

1. Getting all my paperwork in order before I go in person to the Chonburi Immigration Office on Soi 5 in Jomtien.

Copy passport data page

Copy of entry stamp

Passport Photo

(Can I just print them Online/Fill them out then bring them in person. I see there is a Chonburi Immigration Mobile App, can I fill them out and submit them on the App?)

Copy of TM6 departure card

Fill out form TM7

TM30 (I am staying with a friend and don't have a lease or proof of rental, what else can I provide)

1,900 baht for payment

2. WHAT exactly is the Chonburi Immigration android mobile app useful for?

3. I will print forms, get photocopies, complete it all at home tomorrow then go in person on 8/27 (my 30 day expires 8/29)

HOPE to get it completed in 1 trip in person.

4. Let's say I go in soon as they open at 830am

What time should I be expected to finish by? (How many hours is the wait/completion typically?)

Is there an optimal time to go in with Minimal wait time?

5. I guess this will extend my stay for another 30 days, 10/29/22. Can I extend longer than 30 days or is there an easier long term Visa Option that I can do or start while I'm at the Office?

Thanks in Advance 🙏🏽

Hello Thai Visa advice.

Chonburi IO.

I may need to apply for a further extension of stay based on marriage to Thai national.

My current extension will run out mid March.

I normally leave the country and get a 1 year multi entry marriage visa either in Europe, Vietnam or Laos, make a holiday of it.

My previous, and first ever extension was issued after officers come to my rented condo and carried out their checks.

This wasn’t an easy process with repeated visits.

I have since bought this condo, in my name.

What will change in means of documentation for a further extension now I own this flat?

Do I have to apply for it before this current one runs out?

I leve the country every other month for work overseas.

I read an old post here about duration of money seasoning is 3 months, not 2 for the second extension.

Can you advise please.

Thank you for your hard work and for the accurate information on this page.

The easiest way to switch from retirement to marriage extension? I have a 1-year Non-immigrant "O" visa issued last December from the U.S. In March, paid 1900 Thb and became a retirement extension. 90 days again in June.

I'd like to switch to marriage before September 12. I'd rather not keep 800,000 when 400,00 will satisfy the authorities.

I use the Chonburi immigration office. I've heard several farangs run the gamut from easy to a real pain in the rear.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Maybe stupid question but:

I’m here on visa exemption (tourism) and I already have my first covid extension.

Today I went to Chonburi immigration office to do 90 days report but they told me that with my typo of “visa” I don’t need to do it.

Is it correct or that person in immigration office was wrong and I have to try to go one more time?

Thank you 🙏

I'm in the process of switching jobs and having a Non-B visa right now, extension of stay which is valid till 3 July, from the old employer.

My old work permit was cancelled 2 February.

Initial plan was to get all paperwork needed for work permit from new employer done by this time, but for now it's not ready yet.

What are my options here?

1. Cancel current extension of stay, pay for overstay since 2 Feb and apply for "Covid visa", and then re apply for Non-B again? If so, my visa was issued in Chonburi, but now I am staying in another province, so to cancel I should go to Chonburi IO and then at the same day to IO where I stay now to apply for Covid visa?

2. Will it work out just to wait till I get new work permit and with all paperwork go to IO on 3 July (or earlier) and apply for a new extension?

Thanks, any advice is much appriciated.

Just extended my OA retirement visa for the first time until December 2021. Merry Christmas to me. My passport expires January 2022 so I will need to renew it next year before December. With all that said what must be done after I get my renewed passport? I'm guessing there is some process at immigration for transferring my current visa to my renewed passport?
