Well Robert Curtis, what I read before; When you ask the year extension, for which the money has to be 2 months before and 3 months after your application date has to be in your bank account, there ARE imm. offices who want you to show your bankbook at the first 90 day report. This to check if the money was there for the 3 months after indeed. Maybe that's what the officer meant.

No, if you not extend a 1 year extension (of e.g 5 with the cheapest Thai Elite), then you have the same problem.

Althought I'm Dutch, I think you have to deal with a Thai Embassy/Consulate, which are quite general concerning Visa's. The non imm O visa is the easiest way to go.

Allowed in Thailand for 90 days. After e.g. 60 days you can apply in Thailand at the immigraton Office where you are registered (TM30 form, normally within 24 hours after you arrive at your living place), for a year extension based on marriage. (It's NOT a visa anymore, although many people call this a visa. The visa gets a stamp "USED")

Most important is you have a Thai bank account in your name only, with 400kā¸ŋ in it. Because UK is one of the 4 countries where the UK Embassy does not give an income statement, you also can transfer (as international) more than 40kā¸ŋ every month for 12 months to that bank account instead of the 400kā¸ŋ. Not sure if the 400kā¸ŋ also have to be in that account for more than 2 months before applying, but I think so. But you have to ask your imm. office for a handout what they need exactly. There always can be some differences between these offices.

Check 2-3 months before you are applying for the Visa in the UK because maybe there are some changes although not likely. One advantage of the year extensions based on a non imm. O visa (instead of non imm O-A) is, that you don't need a Thai health insurance.

Note. Some people prefer the retirement year extension even if married (although 800kā¸ŋ in bank or 65kā¸ŋ(every month 12 times)) because it's less paperwork. AND you get your extension on the spot, so no 1 month waiting for "under consideration" period.

Good luck ! 🙏

I got this one too. The broker told me it was a rather new player in the field, but I decided to take it anyway. I only know one real story on a Dutch Forum, but seems to be okay.

Claim:

As mentioned before, I exchanged April for WR Life since April 1 this year via AA insurance... Last Tuesday night I became very unwell and was transported to the BPH (Bangkok Pattaya Hospital) in an ambulance without knowledge... I am extremely satisfied with their treatment and dedication. I came home again this afternoon and 2 hours after my discharge the invoice was fully paid by WR Life... Class!

: AND with an O visa you can only stay 90 days. So you need an extension of stay for which you also need the money in Thailand.

, In Korat it states in Thai that the Certificate of Residence is valid for 30 days !! Is it different from other imm. offices ?
