Hi, just applying for my DTV and I see a few people have mentioned statements stamped by bank as proof? I have the statements but Monzo don’t do ‘stamps’ only statements I can print from online. Any advise?

Hi, could someone confirm that for a new non-o retirement visa applied for within Thailand, the 800k must be transferred internationally (from another country)?

And must be on the bank account 2 months prior application?

Hi everyone, I searched this in the group already but still think I might need advice. I originally wanted to apply for the soft power Muay Thai DTV visa because my intention to stay in Thailand is to train full time at a Muay Thai gym, but I am also a freelance English teacher on Preply and this is my primary source of income. Therefore, I am unsure which visa (workcation or soft power) is the better route to go. Any advice or experience is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Can somebody clarify - I have only been here for 70 days and cannot file a 90 day report.

In order to get a Thai drivers license am I required to have a 90 day report?

My research shows that I need

1. Residency certificate.

2. Valid IDP and US drivers license

3. Medical Certificate

4. TM 30

I want to get it done ASAP and I was planning on leaving prior to my 90 day report anyway for a weekend Vietnam trip.

I will get a Non Immigrant O Visa for my next visit, the question I have ... To open a bank account what is the customary amount required to just open the account for starters. I am not necessarily trying to deposit 800,000 for one year extension. Primary goal is to open a Thai account and slowly bring to 800,000. I will be leaving in 60 days with the Non-O Visa. Again, looking to just get and maintain an active Thai Account for future retirement Visa long term.

I am planning to apply for DTV visa. Currently I am in bangkok on tourist visa which will expire soon. I have a full time job in Hong Kong. I pay income tax in HK just want to work from Bangkok. It is a company registered headquarters in HK.

Can I apply from Bangkok?

What will increase my chance of getting the visa?

Is there any better visa which will allow me to work from home Bangkok with multiple entry.

Hi. Asking for my parents: they are 48 and 50, is there an age limit for DTV? They have their own company in Europe and they can work from anywhere at this point. But I’m not sure if they can get the DTV or have to apply for retirement visa.

Went to my local Immigration Office in Saraburi today to ask about all handouts for my 1 year extension of stay of my Non-Immigrant O Visa based on being over 50 years old (retirement).

This is what the officer gave me but also told me to open a bank account despite that I said (and girlfriend) I will use an income letter from my Embassy to guarantee my income, my Swedish Embassy still offer this service.

Trying to figure out why she wanted me to present an bank account, is this common at other offices when using Embassy letter?

I will of course do as I'm told, bring my girlfriend to her bank and ask about all the paperwork, as I understand it should not be a problem to open an account since I'm on a long term visa/extension.

Wish me luck, thanks!

I am an American and have had a retirement visa for 3 years. I am actually retired but tired of going back to immigration every year. I have no issues with leaving the country once a year. I am retired but have no issues with taking a cooking class if required.
