IF you can show the Thai Embassy or Consulate that you have two accounts which combined are greater than the amount required... Show both of the accounts...be sure that the Schwab account is accessible and not invested in stocks etc...but is in their cash money market account immediately accessible.

A cover letter showing the two accounts with a simple statement for the Thai Embassy or Consulate to understand.

Ask your Muay Thai training gym which is the best Thai Embassy or Consulate where their students are obtaining the DTV visa. Follow their advice.

Look at the Thai Embassy or Consulate website where you will apply for their bank account balance requirements.

Also read the posts about getting the DTV visa in the Thai Embassy or Consulate your gym recommended... For its bank account balance requirements.

Bottom line.... ASK your airline... as you are seeking to enter Thailand as VISA EXEMPT entry. Thai immigration will likely grant you 60 days on arrival as Visa Exempt Entry.

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

thanks for your reply ✅ but they told me and my Thai friend that even with the retirement extension, will need to file a new TM30 whenever I reenter Thailand. 😨

Anonymous participant be patient... it's only been 2 weeks since you applied for the DTV visa.

I would like to believe that...I am on retired extension and use Jomtien. Fined 2000 when I went to do the 90 day report. Had reentered Thailand and same address on file. Just paid it and not argue about it. I think you are Right... but not worth the hassle to challenge the 90 day report desk.

@Karsten *******
nope... Jomtien requires a NEW TM30 if you have departed Thailand and return.
