Hi all. I'm an Aussie and have a return ticket: arrive mid-August & depart late Oct. I haven't yet decided if to have a one week trip in September to HCMC or Phnom Penh. Is there a risk that check-in or immigration may say it's over 60 days so need a ticket somewhere before the 60 days is up? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Aussie traveler is concerned about needing an onward ticket given his arrival and departure dates in Thailand, along with a side trip to either HCMC or Phnom Penh. Responses indicate that while airlines may occasionally check for onward tickets, Thai immigration typically grants 60 days for Visa Exempt Entry upon arrival.
Bottom line.... ASK your airline... as you are seeking to enter Thailand as VISA EXEMPT entry. Thai immigration will likely grant you 60 days on arrival as Visa Exempt Entry.
