Hi all. I'm an Aussie and have a return ticket: arrive mid-August & depart late Oct. I haven't yet decided if to have a one week trip in September to HCMC or Phnom Penh. Is there a risk that check-in or immigration may say it's over 60 days so need a ticket somewhere before the 60 days is up? Thanks

The discussion revolves around whether the traveler, an Australian, needs to present an onward ticket due to staying in Thailand for nearly 60 days under a visa-exempt status. Community members suggest that while airlines may ask for proof of onward travel, it varies by airline, and it's best to confirm directly with them. Thai immigration typically grants 60 days for visa-exempt entries.

Bottom line.... ASK your airline... as you are seeking to enter Thailand as VISA EXEMPT entry. Thai immigration will likely grant you 60 days on arrival as Visa Exempt Entry.
