90 days report discoveries that cost me 4,000 baht and many wasted hours:
1. Even if you have yearly rental contract and the owner filled up TM.30 when you moved with expire date all the way to the next 12 months IF you get out of the country it’s not valid anymore. Every time you enter Thailand you need to do TM.30 address report again. Ignore that the existing TM.30 “check out date: 30.12.2025” - they don’t accept it and treat as non existent.
The punishment: 1600 baht and need to bring them copies of full rental contract + id of owner + house book.
(collecting rent documents is much bigger punishment).
2. You can do the 90 days report 14 days before the date and 7 days after. Each late day is 500 baht, maximum 2000 baht.
If you will come on the 8th day they treat it as you late 8 days and not 1 days late. Even if you have Documentation of ER stay due to a car accident on these weeks - won’t help. Punishment: 2000 baht, very long queue to pay it and airport officers asking extra questions due to fine stamp on the passport.
In short: every time you fly into Thailand, you need to ask for TM30 even if you’re on yearly contact and even if you left Thailand only for 24 hours. Don’t wait for last moment to do the 90 days report, you never know maybe a pickup truck will crash into you in the exact day you planned to do the report.
Hello😊My husband and I are in the Cha-Am/Hua Hin area. We did our 60 day tourist visa. My husband has a doctor at Bumrungard hospital. He gave him a medical visa certificate to give him 90 days extension. The immigration office in Cha-Am, where we were told to go because of our address, they said we needed a medical visa from a government hospital. We are going to go to Hua Hin hospital, that is where we were told to go. To try and get that form. After that we would like to apply for the Medical DTV visa. Has anyone had trouble getting a medical extension visa? Also, any advice on getting the medical DTV? We were going to Vietnam. Is that the best location? Thanks in advance 😊
Hi, do I need to do 90 day reporting for DTV if I have already left the country and came back within the past 180 days?
I got my dtv about 70 days ago, and recently left Thailand and came back. Do I need to go to immigration to do 90 day reporting soon or did it already reset since I left the country recently?
I have a Non-B visa (3 months, extended to 1 year) and a work permit.
If my work permit ends in September, and my visa ends in October, am I correct in thinking my work permit needs to be cancelled or the labour department need to be informed its finished and that is the day I have to leave (or go and apply for 7 days).
Do I also need to go to the labour department and cancel my Non-B visa?
I have seen some things saying you can stay until your visa expires, some saying you need to leave straight away, and some saying I need to go and cancel the visa myself or it is classed as an overstay.
Hello. I have a question about my passports and ED visa. My ED visa expires on July 15. I have an appointment to pick up my new passport from my embassy in Bangkok on July 10.
I plan to cancel my ED visa first, then pick up my new passport, which will render my old passport cancelled. After that, I plan to do a quick border run by van.
My question is: Do I need to transfer my cancelled visa to my new passport before doing the border run, or can I exit Thailand using both my old and new passports and get a new entry stamp on my new passport?
Am I correct in thinking that my friend from Myanmar who has a B non immigrant visa and a work permit will need to purchase a re entry permit if he is leaving Thailand for a couple of days. If leaving from Phuket airport can this be purchased at the airport.
A basic question please. I got a multiple entry 1 year non imm O-A visa with length of stay 1 year at the Thai Embassy in Helsinki:
Date of grant 21 July 2023
Visa must be used by 20 July 2024
Does it mean that every time I enter I will be stamped in for one year, even if I enter 20 July 2024? With this visa can I buy a re-entry permit after 20 July 2024? Many thks.
Despite the meant reasons my language school visa experience was a bit shady, I find myself feeling tempted again.
I was told I could only do one Ed visa once. The school is telling me there is a program where they can do a 15 month program for someone who has already done 12 months.
Currently on a Non-B 1 year extension. I plan to leave my current job at the end of May and travel out of Thailand for six weeks before returining to work for a different company in Bangkok.
Will i have to apply for a 90 day visa when i return or would i be able to extend the same work permit/work visa?
